Connect-ED is an automated phone system which allows us to quickly reach out to our staff, parents, and community members with school or emergency information.  When you receive a Connect-ED call, it will be identified as coming from Mannington Township School, and will usually be recorded in Dr. Uszenski’s voice.  Please direct your children to refer all calls to an adult, so that you receive the message.  Messages can always be repeated by following the prompt at the end, which directs the listener to push * for a repeat.

There are several different types of calls which can be placed:

Community Outreach - These messages will be sent to parents to keep them informed of upcoming events, changes to our schedule, or reminders for special activities.  The calls are sent to your primary number only.  Community outreach calls are usually sent in the early evening, to parents’ home numbers.

Survey - A survey call can quickly gather information about different school choices, new programs being considered, etc.  A survey call will be sent to parents’ home numbers in the early evening, and you can select your chosen option by pressing the correct number on your phone keypad.  Tallied results are available to school personnel within minutes, and save much time and paper!

Emergency Contact - In the event of an early closing or school cancellation, due to inclement weather or other emergency, calls will be placed to each family at up to six different listings, including primary residence, work, and cell numbers.  If school is closed for the day, we will make every effort to contact each family the evening before, or by 6:30 a.m. the morning of, that day.  If you don’t receive a call and have questions regarding the status of school, please check our website, or the usual radio and TV stations listed in your handbook.
