Dear Parents/Guardians:

It is rather difficult to believe that another exciting school year is underway. All staff members of Mannington School are eagerly looking forward to another challenging and rewarding school year for your child. As in the past years, one of our ultimate goals is provide a sound education for your child in an effort to meet all of his/her academic, emotional, and social needs.

As we progress through the school year, please bear in mind that the home and school are partners in the total development of each student. With your cooperation and assistance, we feel certain that we will have another successful school year at Mannington School.

At this time may we extend our best wishes for a successful and enjoyable school year.

President’s Message

By: Mrs. Patricia Skwirut, Board of Education President

Welcome back, everyone!  I hope you are ready for another exciting year at Mannington!  Many of you are already involved in fall sports, and some of you might be joining band or chorus for the first time.  You might be thinking about trying a new club, or maybe you are even working on this school paper!  Whatever you choose to do, your “extra” activities will only make your school year more interesting and fun.  You might even make new friends!  You could surprise yourself and find that you have a hidden talent or a love for doing something you never even considered before.  Are you a writer?  A singer?  A basketball player?  An environmentalist?  Now’s the time to find out!  Get involved in some of the activities going on around our school and make it a great new learning experience.  You’ll learn more than just reading, writing, and math.  You’ll learn about – you!  Have a great year!

If there were no schools to take children away from home part of the time, the insane asylums would be filled with mothers.
