T.E.A.M.
T.E.A.M stands for Together in Education At Mannington. It is Mannington Township School's Parent Teacher Organization. The goal of the organization is to work closely with parents, teachers, and students to make the school year an educational, fun and memorable. We are a completely VOLUNTARY organization. All men/women, age 18 and older, who are family members of Mannington Township School students, township residents, school faculty members and their immediate family members are considered members. We welcome everyone's participation within the organization, whether it is volunteering for one after/during school event, being an event chairperson/member or just coming to event to help raise funds, your help is welcomed and appreciated.
Throughout the school year students will receive many handouts from T.E.A.M. These handouts can vary from fundraisers, which allow T.E.A.M. to provide the services and activities which are offered during the year, to calls for volunteers...even if you can't make the monthly meetings you are always welcome to volunteer at an event, and even announcements of fun, low cost family activities being offered throughout the year. Below we have given an explanation of some positional activities for the upcoming school year. We have members chairing each event, so new friends/members can take part in activities within the T.E.A.M. organization, please feel free to volunteer on any event in any position you feel comfortable.
T.E.A.M. Sponsored Field Trips – Due to budget cuts, T.E.A.M. has agreed to provide the necessary funding for each class to participate in a class trip. T.E.A.M. pays for the admission and for the transportation. Field trips & transportation fees could cost as much as $6000 per year. Team will sponsor field trips to all grade levels, Pre-K through 8th grade.
Fundraisers - With T.E.A.M. sponsoring class trips & transportation, amongst other activities throughout the year, fundraising is more important than ever! There are multiple fundraisers to participate in; the more participation we receive the better. Proposed fundraisers for this school year are, but are no limited too: Kid Stuff Coupon Books, Cash Bingo, Clothing Drive, Tinsel & Pine Shopping Extravaganza, Gift Cents, Kids Holiday Shoppe, Beef N' Boogie, and...
Activities - T.E.A.M. sponsors many activities throughout the year as well.
Some of the activities include: Trunk or Treat, Sweetheart Dance, Teachers Appreciation Luncheon, Wellness Day, Academic Recognition Event, COW-munity Day, etc.
Support - T.E.A.M. supports many activities which take place within our school organized by the faculty, staff, and the community some of these include: Pie on a Plate, Fall Scholastic Book Fair, Santa Visit with Gifts, Holiday Parade Float, Special Persons' Tea, BOGO Summer Reading Book Fair, Ruritan Breakfast and more....
T.E.A.M. provides a few selected 8th graders awards at Graduation, recognizes honor roll students with recognition activities/field trip, provides Kindergarten students with Reading, Writing, and Mathematics awards, etc.
